"The Apprentice"

I bet a fair few of you have been watching this program.. in the US and here in the UK.

Interesting to hear Alan Sugar complaining how he felt that the "your fired" catchphrase was an American phrase and that he felt it was a blatant copy of Trump and that he doesn't like to use it, he would rather use the Brit term, "your sacked"...

Eh?

Is the UK version who a whole copy of the US version? I mean right down to the task's, the layout of the program, everything in fact is just a blatant copy in my eyes, but I bet I'm not the only one who thinks so.
Granted many here won't have seen the US one, but many of us have... including me. :o)

You cant blame A Sugar for doing it, I mean he gives a 6 figure sum to the Apprentice yet more than likely rake's in far more for doing the program.. a good marketing move I agree, but would it not have better for sugar to stamp his own twist on it, or use a different angle?
At least alter a little of the format.

Just using the "your sacked" phrase should have been doable!

One thing though, if they are among the best in the country, why do they need to go through all that? Can they not get to the top anyway?

What do you think about it all?
